MLB.com Strikes Six with Interactive Upgrade

By Karen Brown -- Multichannel News, 4/10/2006 11:32:00 AM

Major League Baseball fans can now watch as many as six live games simultaneously on one computer screen thanks to an interactive upgrade to the MLB.com (mlb.mlb.com) Web site.

Starting next week, MLB.com will offer users as many as six screens of live games with selectable audio, so that they can hear the call on whichever game they wish. It also supplies statistics and the ability to click on any one game to present it full-screen.

The new mosaic application is provided by interactive-technology supplier Ensequence Inc.

In addition to the multiple screens, the software also can alert fantasy-baseball-league players when live games involving their players and teams are available and let them view on-demand video of the prior night’s games when there are no live games available.

Ensequence will demonstrate the application at its booth at the National Show in Atlanta this week.
