Cox Upgrades in Conn., R.I. with OpVista

Cable Operator Uses AnyWave Optical Network Architecture and Products

OpVista completed a core network-capacity upgrade for Cox Communications throughout the cable operator’s Connecticut and Rhode Island networks.

The company said the process began in the middle of 2006, and it used its AnyWave Optical Network architecture and products, giving the MSO a single dense-wave-division-multiplexing platform scalable to 800 gigabytes to support new 10-GB-Ethernet services and enable faster service turn-up.
