Comcast-Owned Regionals Kick Off CAA Football Slate
CN8 To Air Dozen Contests, While RSNs Will Offer Nine Other Matchups

The Colonial Athletic Association will kick off a 36-game TV college football slate, with 21 contests scheduled for Comcast-owned regional networks.
The nation’s largest Football Championship Subdivision schedule will feature 12 games on CN8, The Comcast Network throughout its Maine to Virginia footprint, as well as nine contests on regional sports networks Comcast SportsNet New England and Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic. Scheduling permitting, other CAA gridiron matchups could appear on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and CSS.
All of the CAA games airing on CN8 and Comcast SportsNet will be available to Comcast digital-cable customers on demand at no charge for up to one week following the original broadcast. Additionally, all games airing on CN8 will stream concurrently online at www.CN8.tv.
The conference comprises 12 football programs: University of Delaware, Hofstra University, James Madison University, University of Maine, University of Massachusetts, University of New Hampshire, Northeastern University, University of Rhode Island, University of Richmond, Towson University, Villanova University and the College of William & Mary.
CN8’s CAA schedule begins Sept. 13 with the New Hampshire visiting Rhode Island at noon (ET) and Massachusetts at James Madison at 3:30 p.m.
The first Comcast SportsNet games -- Northeastern at Towson -- is scheduled for Oct. 4 at noon.
In addition to live game coverage on CN8, which reaches 9 million subscribers in a dozen eastern states, and Comcast SportsNet, fans will receive conference football news and developments on the networks’ original sports news, opinion and analysis programming throughout the season, including updates from the CAA football media day July 23 on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic’s SportsNite program.
CN8’s Out of Bounds will also cover the event and air a special live one-hour season preview July 30 at 7 p.m. That program will feature an interview with commissioner Tom Yeager, plus one-on-ones conversation with various team coaches, players and college football reporters.
“The CAA football partnership is the cornerstone of our 16-game live college football schedule and will provide fans with competitive match-ups meaningful to our East Coast audience,” said CN8 Sports vice president Jon Gurevitch in a statement. “Throughout the season, we also plan regular coverage of college football in our nightly sports shows, Out of Bounds and Out of Bounds Late Night.
The rest of CAA’s TV network roster: ESPNU, ESPN Classic, ESPN Regional Television, CBS College Sports Network, Madison Square Garden Network, WBAI-TV Maine and MMUR-TV in New Hampshire.
