Ion Television will herald ER’s network arrival with a four-day marathon prelude.
Ion, which on May 1 announced that it had acquired the rights to the 11th through 14th seasons of the acclaimed medical drama, will air a trio of installments from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on June 9-11, followed by a pair of episodes on June 12 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The series will then assume its regular time slot of Mondays through Wednesdays at 10 p.m., starting June 16.
Also joining Ion Television‘s primetime schedule with a special sneak preview on June 12 at 10 p.m.: former USA Network series The Dead Zone.
In addition to winning 22 Emmy Awards, including outstanding drama series in 1996, and 120 Emmy Award nominations -- the most in television history -- ER has also earned the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award and four Screen Actors Guild Awards for outstanding ensemble performance in a drama series.
