Verizon Communications has launched commercial service for its 5-megabit-per-second, 15-mbps and 30-mbps high-speed tiers in Massapequa, Wantagh, Franklin, Port Washington, Oyster Bay, Harrison, Scarsdale, Katonah, Bedford Village, Dobbs Ferry and Orangeburg, N.Y., and the Massachusetts communities of Andover, Bedford, Belmont, Burlington, Hopkinton, Lynnfield, North Reading and Topsfield.
Verizon phone subscribers are able to receive the 5-mbps service for $34.95 per month, the 15-mbps package for $44.95 and the 30-mbps package for $179.95.
Those same FiOS markets are slated for eventual video service.
