TiVo Ups Klugman

TiVo Inc. created a new service-provider division charged with cutting deals with cable and direct-broadcast satellite providers, promoting Jeff Klugman to senior vice president and general manager of the division.
Klugman will oversee sales, marketing, engineering and qualification activities for the deployment of TiVo by providers such as Comcast Corp. and DirecTV Inc., the digital-video-recorder vendor said.
He previously ran the company’s technology-licensing, product-marketing, manufacturing, customer-support and service operations.
Klugman’s promotion came a few days after former NBC Cable and Primedia Inc. chief Tom Rogers was named TiVo CEO.
