Kay OK with Spike TV

By Linda Moss -- Multichannel News, 10/4/2005 1:17:00 PM

Kevin Kay has been promoted to the new post of general manager and executive vice president of Spike TV, officials said Tuesday.

Kay, who has served as the male-targeted network’s executive VP of programming and production since January 2003, will report to president Doug Herzog.

In his new role, Kay will continue to be based in New York and will oversee all East Coast operations of Spike TV, including the production of specials and sports programming, marketing, press, research, on-air promotions, online and production departments.

“Kevin has been here since the beginning and was a key figure in establishing the Spike TV brand,” Herzog said in a prepared statement.

Prior to Spike TV, Kay was executive VP of production and original-series development for Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite and TV Land.
