The Southern California Chapter of Women in Cable & Telecommunications said Monday that the 2005 LEA Awards raised nearly $11,000 for charity.
The event was hosted by attorney Gloria Allred last Thursday at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
This year's honorees were Hallmark Channel senior vice president Janice Arouh, NBC Universal VP of affiliate relations Bridget Farley, Lifetime Television regional manager Allyson Zimmerman and Charter Communications Inc. senior VP of operations, Western division Eric Brown.
WICT’s Southern California chapter said proceeds from its silent auction -- with items including a hot-air-balloon ride over the Temecula Wine Country, U2 concert tickets, lunch at the Playboy Mansion, a pair of autographed boxing gloves signed by two World Boxing Council heavyweight competitors and a dinner for six prepared by a personal chef -- will be divided between its PAR initiative, Cable Positive and the National AIDS Foundation.
