Home Theater in Store for Time Warner

Home Theater Store is now an authorized activator of new Time Warner Cable services and upgrades for customers in the Houston area under terms of a partnership announced Monday.

There are currently seven Home Theater Store locations in the Houston, Austin and Dallas markets.

Under terms of the deal, Home Theater Store technicians can activate cable service for the two companies' mutual customers; upgrade existing customers to digital cable and HDTV; and offer a selection of Time Warner Cable set-tops, including models with digital-video recorders.

“This partnership with Time Warner Cable means that our customers can have a terrific one-stop-shopping experience," Home Theater Store CEO Mihir Mody said in a prepared statement. "We have a large stock of cable boxes in our warehouse and great technicians that can bring the cable box of your choice with them, install it and activate your new or upgraded service, all in one visit.”
