Halmi Buying Hallmark Entertainment

Hallmark Entertainment LLC president Robert Halmi Jr. and a private investment firm will buy the unit from Hallmark Cards Inc., AP reported.

Hallmark acquired the company, then called RHI Entertainment LLC, in 1994 for $365 million from Halmi and his father, Robert Halmi Sr., according to AP.

Hallmark Entertainment makes movies and miniseries for more than one-dozen cable networks and all four major broadcast networks, AP reported.

Financial terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
