Verizon Communications Inc. added video to its service offerings in seven more Texas towns Thursday: Colleyville, Grapevine, Murphy, Southlake, Sachse, Westlake and Wylie.
The regional Bell operating company has local franchises for the latter three communities. Verizon competes in those communities with Comcast Corp. and Charter Communications Inc.
Verizon launched its Verizon FiOS TV video-delivery business in Keller, Texas, in September, and it lit up six communities, including Fort Worth, in December. The company now offers video services in 14 Texas towns. The provider will launch service in 11 more communities in the state this year.
Verizon's primary offer is for 180 digital-video and music channels for $34.95 per month if bought with a qualifying Internet or phone product from the company.
