This Film Is Not Yet Rated, an original documentary from The Independent Film Channel, will debut at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival.
The film, from Academy Award-nominated director Kirby Dick and producer Eddie Schmidt, will make its world premiere at Sundance Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the Eccles Theatre.
The network added that it has established partnerships with Heineken USA and Netflix Inc. for events supporting and celebrating the documentary’s release.
And the Web sites of both PepsiCo Inc.’s Aquafina (www.aquafina.com) and IFC (www.ifc.com) will feature daily audio podcasts and blogs from Jan. 21-25 by IFC executive vice president and general manager Evan Shapiro and IFC News anchor Matt Singer, respectively.
“This Film Is Not Yet Rated is the personification of our ‘TV, uncut’ mantra, and we are honored to have its world premiere at Sundance,” Shapiro said in a prepared statement.
