Howard TV Draws 5K iO Subs

Nearly 5,000 iO: Interactive Optimum digital-cable subscribers signed up for Howard TV in its first two days of availability, Cablevision Systems Corp. said Thursday.

The MSO added that more than 80% of its customers who signed up for In Demand Networks’ Howard Stern subscription-video-on-demand service did so instantly, via set-top box and remote control, without having to call customer service.

Howard TV offers unlimited and uncensored access to in-studio footage filmed during Stern’s morning Sirius Satellite Radio show, including the ability to pause, fast-forward and rewind.

Cablevision charges $9.95 per month for Howard TV.
