The Montgomery County township of Worcester became the sixth Pennsylvania municipality to approve a video franchise for Verizon Communications Inc.’s Verizon FiOS TV Wednesday night.
Worcester Township joins Hulmeville Borough in Bucks County; Schwenksville Borough in Montgomery County; Valley Township and East Marlborough Township in Chester County; and Thornbury Township in Delaware County on the regional Bell operating company’s Pennsylvania franchise list.
FiOS TV launched in September in Keller, Texas, and it is currently available in parts of California, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Texas and Virginia.
