Vidiom Systems Inc. released version 1.0 of its “VISION Workbench” OpenCable Application Platform development software.
The vendor said VISION Workbench includes an OCAP set-top simulator built with OCAP technology developed by Vidiom for OCAP Development LLC, which is comprised of Time Warner Cable and Comcast Corp.
OCAP is part of the OpenCable initiative created by Cable Television Laboratories Inc., and it has been adopted as a standard by the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers and other standards organizations.
