Current TV reached a multiyear deal with APM Music, which provides music for use in film, television, radio and new-media productions.
Under terms of the pact, independent producers will have “unfettered access to the largest music library in the industry” -- more than 200,000 professional recordings -- and the network will pay for all associated costs, including synch and master-use fees for use on Current’s broadcast network and Web site (www.current.tv), the network said.
APM is a joint venture of EMI Music Publishing and Bertelsmann AG’s BMG Music Publishing unit.
