Bravo Group
Federico Duberti was named account director for Hispanic marketing agency Bravo Group. He comes from Madrid-based Vitruvio/Leo Burnett, where he was account director for Spanish beer brands in the United Kingdom, United States, Japan and Germany.
Also, Carla Tesak was named creative director, Bravo Group. She comes from Young & Rubicam, where she worked on new-business pitches and collaborated with Bravo on accounts targeting Hispanic customers.
And Monica Gutierrez was named experiential director for Bravo Uno-A-Uno and Bravo RPM. She was creative director and producer of experiential marketing at Trixel Inc.
CSN
David Lee has joined Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic’s news team. The former SportsNet New York anchor will serve as an anchor on CSN’s SportsNite desk and report from the field for the Washington, D.C./Baltimore regional sports network.
Cox Media
Mike Thompson was named new media local sales manager for Cox Media Hampton Roads. He was local sales manager for LNC5, a regional news-channel partnership between Cox Communications Inc., The Virginian-Pilot and WVEC-TV.
Discovery
Michael Snyder was named senior vice president of affiliate marketing for Discovery Networks U.S. He comes from Comcast Corp. where he most recently served as senior VP of marketing and communications at corporate headquarters in Philadelphia.
EchoStar
Bobby Billman was named senior vice president of product marketing at EchoStar Communications Corp. He has held senior marketing positions at Airgo Networks Consulting, Nokia, GTE and Lexar Media.
Also, Mike O’Hara was named senior adviser to EchoStar Communications Corp. He will launch Summus Ventures Ltd. in Indianapolis in order to consult with EchoStar senior management. O’Hara was executive vice president at Thomson Consumer Electronics, where he oversaw the audio/video and accessory business.
Intelsat
Linda Kokal was promoted to senior vice president and treasurer of Intelsat Corp. She was VP and treasurer, and contributed to capital structuring related to the company’s merger with PanAmSat.
LIN TV
Gregory Schmidt was named executive vice president of digital media at LIN TV. He was VP and general counsel.
Also, Denise Parent was promoted to vice president and general counsel. She was VP and deputy general counsel. Scott Blumenthal was promoted to executive vice president of television. He was co-vice president of television.
And Edward Munson, also a former co-vice president of television, was named vice president of station sales.
NBC Universal
Dan Levine was promoted to vice president of sales strategy and development for NBC Universal International Television Distribution. He was the director of sales strategy and development.
OCTA
Amy Tykeson was elected president of the Oregon Cable Telecommunications Association. She is the CEO of Bend Broadband.
Pillsbury Winthrop
Executive/attorney John Hane has joined law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP as counsel in the Washington, D.C. office. He was president and CEO of Highcast Network Inc. — a development-stage company pursing digital media distribution platforms — which he founded. Simultaneously, he served as senior VP of corporate development for Pegasus Communications Corp.
Turner
Ray Hutton was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Turner Broadcasting System International. He was VP, corporate finance and deputy controller of parent Turner Broadcasting System Inc.
Rainbow
Bill Rosolie was promoted to executive vice president of Rainbow National Network advertising sales. He was senior vice president of ad sales at Fuse.
W. Broadband
Paul Tremblay Jr. was named director of marketing, Western Broadband LLC. He was area marketing supervisor, West region, for Mediacom Communications Corp.
