Atlantic Broadband Does Triple Play in Md.

By Todd Spangler -- Multichannel News, 10/31/2006 12:22:00 PM

Cable operator Atlantic Broadband is now offering phone service in Maryland, which, the company said, makes it the first provider in that market to offer a triple-play bundle of video, Internet and phone service.

The company has 30,000 subscribers in the Maryland system, which it took over from Charter Communications in 2004.

Atlantic is offering unlimited local, regional and continental U.S. long-distance service, voice mail and other features for $34.95 per month for existing cable or Internet subscribers. The service is $49.95 for customers who don't have video or Internet service from Atlantic.

Atlantic, based in Quincy, Mass., has 250,000 subscribers in three operating regions: central Pennsylvania, Miami Beach and Maryland/Delaware.
