Comedy, Spike Add Digital-Media Exec

Erik Flannigan joined Comedy Central and Spike TV as senior vice president, digital media.

Flannigan had been VP of programming at AOL.

In his new role at the MTV Networks services, he will supervise digital-media staff at the two networks, as well as overseeing all digital-media initiatives, Atom Films and Addicting Clips and representing the channels’ interests within MTVN.

Flannigan reports to Comedy and Spike president Doug Herzog.
