American Girl Molly Heads to Disney

A third American Girl Doll character, Molly McIntire, is headed for a TV movie.

Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front, set in 1944, will air on Disney Channel Sunday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m., from American Girl, Revolution Studios, Red Om Films and Warner Bros.

Maya Ritter stars and Molly Ringwald plays her mom.

Samantha Parkington got things going with a 2004 holiday movie, Samantha: An American Girl Holiday, from the same producers and airing on The WB, drawing 6 million viewers.

One year later, Felicity Merriman had a WB TV movie made of her story: Felicity: An American Girl Adventure, set in colonial Williamsburg, Va. Those two flicks are airing on Hallmark Channel Dec. 2.
