Cox to Add 200 Call-Center Jobs

Cox Communications’ participation in a wireless-phone joint venture will be a boon to the Oklahoma City job market.

The new Cox National Wireless Call Center of Excellence -- which will support Cox’s wireless customers under its JV with Sprint Nextel, Time Warner Cable, Comcast and Advance/Newhouse Communications -- will bring 200 new jobs to Oklahoma City by the end of 2007, AP reported.

Cox vice president for public affairs Tom Tippit told AP the new integrated service is expected to be offered in Oklahoma by mid-2007, with other Cox markets rolling out the service later in the year and in 2008.
