Verizon Upgrades FiOS TV's Guide, Plans Net Video

Las Vegas -- Verizon Communications Sunday announced an enhanced media guide for FiOS TV and said it plans to deliver Internet video to TV subscribers later this year, including user-generated content from Revver.com.
The new FiOS media guide, developed by Verizon, lets viewers scan through broadcast, on-demand and recorded content from a single search screen. It also allows subscribers to program digital-video recorders and change parental-control settings from a Web browser -- a feature the company plans to provide through Verizon Wireless cellular phones later in 2007.
Verizon said FiOS TV customers in New Jersey will be the first to receive the new TV applications. By midyear, the telco expects to roll them out to all subscribers in the 10 states where the service is currently offered.
Later in the year, Verizon said it will deliver Internet radio and video content to the TV sets of FiOS TV customers, including user-generated content like that from Revver.com. In another feature still in the works, the guide would allow viewers to rate programs and then provide recommendations based on personal preferences.
The company made the announcement at a joint press conference here with Verizon Wireless, which officially launched its V CAST Mobile TV live-television service Sunday ().

An addendum to my prior complaints:
Most of the TV Guide screen is RED, with white lettering--In case anybody hasn't told you yet, the old light yellow with dark letters was much easier on the eyes--The red color with white lettering is irritating and make it difficult to read the contents of the guide--
Smarten up, next time get some opinions from the public, they have to use your guide--You certainly can use all the help you can get, you need it!!

IT WASN''T BROKEN, SO WHY IN THE DEVIL DID YOU FIX TV GUIDE THAT WORKED PERFECTLY WELL..It''s now an abominable mess that''s confusing and inconvenient to use--None of the control keys on the hand control work they way they did--You have created a confusing horror--
I don''t know who thought the present abomination up, they should have their heads examined and so should the executives that approved it--
You have the box on bottom which contains the code you wish me to insert, that''s fine, next time make certain that a letter isn''t printed in light yellow, which is impossible to read--What a bunch of jerks you are!!
