SlingPlayer Mobile Coming for Palm Treo Smart Phones

Palm said Monday that third-generation Treo smart-phone users will be able to use Sling Media’s SlingPlayer Mobile software to watch live and recorded TV on those devices, AP reported.

SlingPlayer Mobile -- which lets smart-phone users watch live and recorded TV from their home cable set-top, direct-broadcast satellite receiver or digital-video recorder -- is already available for devices that run Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system.

Sling and Palm said they expect to release the Palm OS version for Treo 700p devices sometime during the current quarter, according to AP.
