TiVo Gets Into a Lexus

Lexus signed an upfront-advertising commitment with TiVo.
The automaker renewed its agreement to use the digital-video-recorder vendor’s interactive and targeted advertising solutions, including the Gold Star Sponsorship on TiVo Central, program placement, Product Watch and the Lexus Car Configuration Tool.
The latter, which launched in May, lets “subscribers virtually customize the new 2007 Lexus ES 350, learn more about Lexus' newest model, experience an ES 350 photo slide show, request a dealer contact to schedule a test drive and locate the Lexus dealer closest to their home, all from the comfort of their living room,” the two companies said in a prepared statement.
“TiVo has proven to us that its advertising products attract consumers, and we believe TiVo will continue to provide us with what we need to achieve maximum impact and targeted exposure to our current and potential customers," Lexus vice president of marketing Deborah Meyer said in a prepared statement. "Signing an upfront commitment to TiVo makes sense for us as we aim to deliver interactive advertising solutions that allow consumers to experience our brands and products how and when they want.”
