Nick to Debut Avatar Online Comic Book, Contest

Four-week online-gaming event Avatar: Escape from the Spirit World will debut on its own dedicated Web site Feb. 3, Nickelodeon said Tuesday.

The new content and back stories will be based on Nick series Avatar: The Last Airbender in the form of an animated online comic book from Avatar creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.

The game will be supported with an on- air promotional sweepstakes featuring new winners each weekend, producing a total of 50 winners.
