BIAP Systems Adds Two to Board

BIAP Systems, a provider of interactive-TV applications, announced Tuesday the appointment of Julie Roehm, a former marketing executive for Wal-Mart Stores, and QVC cofounder Mike Boyd to the company’s board of directors.
Roehm most recently was Wal-Mart’s senior vice president of marketing communications and served a similar role at DaimlerChrysler. Boyd, who cofounded QVC in 1986, later helped to start TeleSpectrum Worldwide. He currently serves on the boards of Shop.com and Longport.
“Julie and Mike possess deep expertise in the critical areas of television commerce, new-media advertising and rapid-growth companies,” BIAP chairman Winston J. Churchill said in a prepared statement. “We are thrilled that these dynamic business leaders share our view that BIAP is leading a revolution in the world of advertising and programming. Their extraordinary perspective will be a great asset to the company.”
BIAP, based in Plano, Texas, announced a long-term agreement in November with Time Warner Cable, which is using BIAP’s applications in a handful of divisions.
