Sundance Goes Green
Redford’s Independent Network Partners with Environmental Organizations

Sundance Channel teamed up with several environmental and conservation organizations prior to the April 17 launch of its The Green programming block.
The Green, which will focus on environmental topics, launches at 9 p.m. April 17.
Members of Sundance Channel’s The GreenAdvisory Committee are: The Apollo Alliance, Ceres, the Environmental Media Association, Global Green USA, Greenpeace, The League of Conservation Voters, the National Parks Conservation Association, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the National Tribal Environmental Council, the National Wildlife Federation, Oceana, The Sierra Club, Sustainable South Bronx, Treehugger, the U.S. Public Interest Research Group, Waterkeeper Alliance and the World Wildlife Fund.
Individuals involved include: fuseproject founder Yves Béhar; Sustainable South Bronx executive director and founder Majora Carter; global-warming activist and film producer Laurie David; writer Amanda Griscom Little; Waterkeeper Alliance president Robert F. Kennedy Jr.; Ceres president Mindy S. Lubber; GreenBiz.com founder and executive editor Joel Makower; Museum of Television and Radio CEO and former PBS CEO Pat Mitchell; NWF chairman and Apollo Alliance president Jerome Ringo; and Treehugger host and journalist Simran Sethi.
