MSNBC Extends Olbermann

Countdown Host Under Contract Through 2011, Expands NBC News Role

NBC News and the host of MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann extended their agreement through 2011, MSNBC reported on its Web site.

Olbermann will also contribute to the broadcast network’s Nightly News with Brian Williams and host two Countdown specials per year on NBC.

MSNBC said Countdown averaged 715,000 viewers, with 283,000 of those aged 25-54, in January.
