Time Warner chairman and CEO Richard Parsons topped a list of African-American cable executives who ranked among the top of Black Enterprise magazine’s top Hollywood power brokers.
Parsons ranked second on BE’s list, which recognizes African Americans who have achieved record influence in show business, according to the magazine.
BET founder Robert L. Johnson and Douglass Holloway, president of cable investments at NBC Universal Cable, ranked fifth and seventh, respectively, on the list, which also includes African-American corporate executives, agents, lawyers and entrepreneurs who broker some of the industry’s biggest deals.
Topping the list was Oprah Winfrey, chairman of Harpo.
BE will reveal the complete list in its March issue, which hits newsstands Feb. 21, the magazine said.
