Verizon to Offer Revver Clips on FiOS TV

User-Generated Video to Debut on Multiple Platforms

By Steve Donohue -- Multichannel News, 2/22/2007 4:29:00 AM

Verizon Communications cut a deal with Revver to offer the Web site’s user-generated video on multiple platforms, including its FiOS TV service.

The deal is noteworthy, as it will make Verizon one of the first pay TV providers to offer its subscribers access to Internet content through digital set-top boxes.

Verizon said it will launch Revver content on its Surround broadband-entertainment portal by the end of the first quarter and on its FiOS TV platform later this year.

Revver also struck a separate agreement with Verizon Wireless that will allow mobile-phone subscribers with V CAST-enabled handsets access to Revver content.
