NHL Drops Puck on NHL Center Ice Online

League’s Out-of-Market Hockey Package Now Available via NHL.com

The National Hockey League was apparently happy with its recent test of its cable and satellite NHL Center Ice out-of-market game package on the Web.

The league announced that NHL Center Ice Online is now available to fans in the United States and Canada via NHL.com for $119.

The NHL said the package will include up to 40 games per week through the league’s regular-season finale April 8, as well as select games from the Stanley Cup Quarterfinal and Semifinal rounds.

Akamai Technologies will be the technology provider for the service.
