Comcast’s venture-capital fund led a $11 million round of financing for Silicon Valley software firm Vyatta, which is looking to compete with Cisco Systems with an open-software-based router system.
Comcast Interactive Capital was joined in Vyatta’s second round of financing by Vyatta’s existing investors, including JPMorgan Partners (as advised by Panorama Capital), ComVentures and ArrowPath Venture Partners. Vyatta said it has raised $18.5 million in venture capital to date.
