CNN Names New Morning Crew

Chetry, Roberts to Anchor American Morning; Soledad and Miles O’Brien Named Featured Special Correspondents

CNN will debut a new anchor crew for itsAmerican Morning Monday, April 16.

Current anchorsSoledad O’Brien and Miles O’Brien will remain with CNN as featured special correspondents. The network said Soledad O’Brien will joinCNN: Special Investigations Unit.

The new anchors for American Morning areKiran Chetry and John Roberts.

Chetry joined CNN in February, anchoring various programs including American Morning, Anderson Cooper 360º, Paula Zahn Now and CNN Newsroom. Previously, she was anchor of Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends First and Fox & Friends Weekend.

Roberts joined CNN in February 2006 after 14 years with CBS News as chief White House correspondent, chief medical correspondent and anchor of the Sunday edition of CBS Evening News.
