There’s a Science to Discovery’s Executive Moves

Discovery Channel GM Root Announces Moves at Flagship Network, Science Channel

Tom Cosgrove was named senior vice president and general manager of The Science Channel.

Cosgrove joined Discovery Networks U.S. in January as senior VP of programming for Discovery Channel, Discovery Times Channel, Science and Military Channel. Prior to that, he served as GM of TV Guide Channel.

The programmer also announced that Deena Edwards was promoted to VP of integrated program and promotions for Discovery and Science, from director of program planning.

And Jeff Hasler was elevated to senior VP of production and development.
