Charter Outfits Work Force with C-COR Gear

New Pact Covers 1,200 Installers, Technicians, CSRs

Charter Communications and C-COR expanded their previous Mobile Workforce Manager agreement to cover 1,200 installers, technicians and customer-service representatives.

The vendor said its MWM “allows cable operators to tie together network operations and enables cable technicians and installers to proactively address customer-service needs remotely via mobile handsets. MWM assists operators in planning and provisioning for installations, truck routing, work orders and dispatch in order to decrease the time spent on installations and to more efficiently route technicians and installers to the job site”

C-COR added that MWM integrates closely with its Assurance tools to deliver device and network service information to both the technician in the home and in the network-operations center.
