Cable’s M&A Wunderkind

Waller Capital partner and managing director Garrett Baker is one of the most active merger and acquisition bankers in the cable market. The youngest partner in Waller Capital’s 25-year history, he initiates and leads M&A transactions for cable and wireless clients in the U.S. and in Latin America.

Baker has completed transactions involving Bright House Communications, Charter Communications and Suddenlink Communications. He recently represented Oak Hill & Abry on the sale of WideOpenWest to Avista, and TVMax on its sale to Comcast.

“Cable is clearly winning the battle for the residential customer,” said Baker. “Investors recognize this, and we have seen a massive increase in the amount of private equity available to the cable sector. Valuations are now higher than they’ve been since 2000.”
