NBC Replaces Entertainment President Reilly

Silverman, Graboff Named Co-Chairman of NBC Entertainment and NBC Television Studio

By Steve Donohue -- Multichannel News, 5/29/2007 11:22:00 AM MT

NBC overhauled its TV-scheduling and production-leadership team, replacing NBC Entertainment president Kevin Reilly with veteran producers Ben Silverman and Marc Graboff.

Silverman and Graboff were named president of NBC Entertainment and NBC Universal Television Studio, respectively, with NBC president Jeff Zucker creating a management structure that will give his top programming executives oversight of production, as well.

The shakeup ends the three-year run of Reilly, the former entertainment president for FX, who produced The Shield and other popular shows for the cable network.

Silverman has produced several hit programs through independent production company Reveille, including The Office, Ugly Betty and The Biggest Loser. NBC said Tuesday that it extended a creative deal with Reveille for its broadcast-network and cable properties for an additional two years under an agreement tied to Silverman’s hiring.

NBC said Graboff -- who was named president of NBC Universal Television, West Coast, in 2007 -- will continue to lead domestic TV distribution. Barry Wallach, president of domestic television distribution, will report to Graboff.
