Association Sets Deadline for Accolades Nominees

The
Women in Cable & Telecommunications Foundation
scheduled its 23rd Annual Gala for Nov. 15 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C.
The main event at the WICT Foundation Benefit Gala will be WICT’s Accolade awards. Nominations for the awards are due by June 15, WICT said Friday.
The group added that it will award Accolades in four categories: Woman of the Year, Woman to Watch, Tribute Accolade for Documentary/Biographical and Tribute Accolade for Drama/ Music/Variety Comedy.
WICT said its largest financial backers this year -- named members of the 2007 WICT Leadership Circle -- are Comcast, Turner Broadcasting System, Time Warner Cable, MTV Networks, BET Networks and Charter Communications.
