MSNBC Nears Announcement on Imus’ Slot
After Four Weeks, Scarborough Still Isn’t Official Replacement
By Steve Donohue -- Multichannel News, 6/15/2007 11:46:00 AM
Joe Scarborough is set to kick off his fifth consecutive week as the replacement anchor for MSNBC’s Imus in the Morning program Monday, but the all-news network has still not officially declared Scarborough its permanent anchor for the morning slot.
Scarborough, a former Florida congressman, hasn’t missed a single day in the 6 a.m.-9 a.m. slot since May 28. MSNBC calls Scarborough’s morning program Morning Joe in promotions for the show on the network and its Web site, but the 6 a.m.-9 a.m. slot is still listed as MSNBC Morning News in TV listings.
Scarborough got his first crack at the weekday-morning slot the week of May 14, about one month after Don Imus was dropped from MSNBC and CBS Radio for directing a racial insult at the Rutgers University women’s-basketball team.
MSNBC still has Scarborough on its primetime schedule Monday-Thursday. But general manager Dan Abrams has filled in for Scarborough on his one-hour Scarborough Country program several times during the past two weeks.
MSNBC vice president of communications Jeremy Gaines wouldn’t say Friday if Scarborough is the permanent replacement for Imus in the Morning. But Gaines said an announcement regarding the morning slot was forthcoming.
“Soon we’ll have something to talk about,” he added.

Part 2 to my prior comment. There is a possibility Imus may be broadcast on RFD TV. It is on DISH. Contact mike@rfdtv.com to verify.

A clear victory of good over the evil embodied in the likes of Oberman, who ran around in dark corners disparaging Imus. NBC and MSNBC ratings continue to fall. Hopefully it is due in some small part to "THE VETS BOYCOTT OF NBC and MSNBC" because of their ill conceived treatment of Imus, the Vet's friend. We will continue our boycott until we see the economic condition of NBC and MSNBC so affected their are massive staff cutbacks.

Have a great holiday season and a great 2008. Imus is back on December 3, and that's all that matters. The National Association of Black Journalists, led by "Journalists" Fat Al Roker and "Rev" Fat Al Sharpton lost their bid to keep Don Imus from returning to help America's children. They couldn't keep Americas hero from returning to America. In fact they can't do anything, especially getting someone a meaningful job at MSNBC and NBC, the all white network. They hired Al Roker to go pick up the lunch orders at the Deli, which is all that he is capable of. He has professed his hatred of sick children on the Today Show. All of the effort to expose this paid off. God was with the IMAN all the way.

December 3, 2007 is coming on fast. No need to expose the perversion from NBC's Today Show any longer. All the I-Fans did a wonderful and relentless job. Supporting perverts lurking in men's rooms and trying to do the unspeakable to high school boys like Tucker Carlson and defining their apprehenson and conviction as bashing, like a Today Show producer did. Rokers hateful outbursts against epileptic babies. Lauer's defining Mexicans as Pinatas. All of them hiding on the day that Imus fans went to the Today Show to expose this behavior. Imus resumes his career of exposing things like Al Roker when he returns on December 3, 2007. Great job all.
