Agency Chiefs to Give CTAM Keynotes

Closing Panel to Feature Top Cable Executives

By Multichannel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 6/19/2007 11:05:00 AM MT

The CTAM Summit lineup next month now includes keynotes from Oglivy & Mather Worldwide CEO Steve Hayden and brand strategist Shari Swan, in addition to a closing panel filled with big names in cable operations and programming.

Hayden will address brand marketing and Swan, founder of Streative Branding, will discuss “Next Gen Trends” at the July 23-25 conference in Washington, D.C.

Hayden’s greatest hits include co-creating the famed 1984 take-off campaign for Apple and more recent campaigns for American Express, Cisco Systems and Dove. Swan’s agency, in Amsterdam, focuses on global consumer-trend analysis for clients including O2, Bacardi and Nike.

The Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing said the closing panel Wednesday, July 25, will include a pair of cable-operator chiefs: Time Warner Cable CEO Glenn Britt and Charter Communications CEO Neil Smit. Also on the panel: ESPN president George Bodenheimer, HDNet chairman Mark Cuban and The Weather Channel president Debora Wilson.

The summit’s attendance goal is 2,500, down about 100 from last year’s gathering, according to CTAM CEO Char Beales.
