Cable Operator Deploys Vendor’s NSG edgeQAM Featuring Privacy Mode

Cox Communications rolled out Harmonic’s NSG edgeQAM featuring Privacy Mode real-time encryption on its video-on-demand service in Kansas and Arkansas.

The NSG performs a variety of functions at the network edge, including Internet-protocol-to-quadrature-amplitude-modulation RF conversion, multiplexing, program filtering and routing and scrambling.
