Cox Northern Virginia Launches HD Movies On-Demand

Cable Operator Charges $5.99 for New Releases in HD

Cox Communications’ northern Virginia system began offering HD movies through its video-on-demand library Friday.

It assigned HD Movies On Demand to channel 700.

Cox is charging $5.99 for both new releases and other Hollywood hits available in HD.

Cox competes with both Verizon Communications and RCN in northern Virginia.
