New York — Who says you can’t go home again — or at least back to your old network?
Jennifer Caserta has rejoined The Independent Film Channel as executive vice president of marketing, communications, scheduling and alternative platforms.
Caserta, who most recently served as executive vice president and general manager of Fuse, had been senior vice president of marketing at IFC prior to joining the music programmer.
In her new role, she will oversee marketing, scheduling, branding, events, the “IFC Free Film Tour” and all of IFC’s Web and on-demand programming efforts, and will serve as one of the key architects in the evolution of the channel’s emerging platforms.
Last week, the network announced that Tourism Australia, Scion, Entertainment Weekly, eMusic and Focus Features are the sponsors for the IFC Free Film Tour, which presents indie films via 40-by-20 foot inflatable air screens. All tour sponsors receive on-site signage, inclusion in pre-show promotions and a branding presence in various IFC on-air spots.
The tour, which launched in June and continued last week in Miami, will also make stops in Memphis, Tenn., Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, Detroit, Boston and Washington, D.C.
