Comcast Adds Six HD Channels in Colorado Springs

Cable Operator Now Offers 19 HD Networks in Market

Comcast launched six HD channels in its Colorado Springs, Colo., market -- Cinemax HD, Versus/Golf Channel HD, Universal HD, MHD, National Geographic HD and A&E HD -- bringing it to a total of 19.

The operator said the channels are available at no additional cost to Colorado Springs digital-cable subscribers who have HD-enabled set-top boxes.

In Chicago earlier this month, Comcast added four HD channels following the elimination of 38 analog channels from its enhanced-basic service tier.
