Three Southern California Charter Communications digital subscribers will win VIP tickets to a local jazz festival as part of a promotion of the Black Music America Digital Channel.
One consumer will also win a trip for two to the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. That prize package includes airfare, hotel accommodations and a $100 gift certificate. The sweepstakes opened Tuesday.
Charter is the only operator in the Los Angeles area to carry the channel, which is available in its Long Beach, Calif., system. The sweepstakes is a natural tie-in with the 20th annual Long Beach Jazz Festival, as BMA Digital is a co-presenting sponsor of one of the pavilions at the music event. The jazz festival is scheduled Aug. 10-12.
The Minneapolis-based digital channel is also carried by Comcast in that city.
