DIY to Debut Martha Stewart Crafts

Scripps Networks-Owned Cable Channel Teams Up with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia

By Christian Lewis -- Multichannel News, 7/31/2007 7:05:00 AM MT

DIY Network in November will air Martha Stewart Crafts, a “best-of” Martha Stewart compilation series featuring how-to segments on scrapbooking, hand-made gifts, paper cards, decoupage, glittering, framing and rubber-stamping, among other things.

The 39-episode series, slated to premiere on Thanksgiving, is drawn from more than one decade of content from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s lifestyle-TV series, Martha Stewart Living.

The announcement follows the launch of a line of paper-based crafting and storage products available through the Martha Stewart Crafts Web site and Michael arts and crafts stores.

“DIY is a like-minded partner, a television network that understands crafting and our continuing fascination with and appreciation for inspiring do-it-yourself projects,” Stewart said in a prepared statement.

“I am delighted that this new partnership rekindles our business relationship with the Scripps family of cable networks and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship in the years to come,” she added.
