HGTV has secured a carriage-deal renewal with Comcast, the programmer’s parent company said in a securities filing Wednesday.
E.W. Scripps reported that HGTV’s affiliation agreements with both Comcast and Time Warner Cable expired Dec. 31, deals that add up to 42% of the network’s subscribers.
In its 10-Q, E.W. Scripps said that HGTV had entered into a new long-term affiliation contract with Comcast in the third quarter, and is operating under a short-term extension with Time Warner.
The deal with Comcast was reportedly finalized last week, and includes carriage for HGTV HD.
