Network Relies on Videos to Promote Weekly Games

ESPN is turning to its viewers to submit videos designed to promote appearances of their favorite teams on Monday Night Football.
The network said Monday that fans will be encouraged to upload videos to a “Monday Night Surround” section on ESPN.com.
Videos will highlight the teams set to play in the following week’s MNF game on ESPN, and fans voice why their team will win the game and why NFL fans should tune-in, the network said.
During the final MNF preseason game Aug. 27, ESPN will select its first videos to be aired as a preview to the Sept. 10 season-opening MNF doubleheader – Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers. During that doubleheader, ESPN will air one video each from Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins fans in anticipation of the teams’ week 2 MNF match-up.

Palmer, the higher rating, and whether this is a valid argument. Sure, he has great arm strength, but his high rating is directly attributable to the TD to INT ratio -- and his receivers (excellent) contribute a great deal to this ratio. There aren't many DBs in the league that can take a ball away from anyone in the receiving corps save Chris Henry (and he's out anyways). So yes - Palmer has a high rating downfield, but this probably just speaks to a bunch of long touchdowns for Cincinatti.
