Sunday’s season finale of Ice Road Truckers was the No.1 rated program ever on The History Channel and the No. 1 show on ad-supported cable for the night with 4.8 million viewers, official said Tuesday.
Ice Road Truckers’3.5 household rating was tops for the evening among ad-supported cable networks. The episode also outperformed every other program on ad-supported cable so far this August in the key demographics, namely adults 25-54 with 3.1 million viewers and adults 18-49 with 2.8 million viewers.
During the course of the Ice Road Truckers 10-episode season, which launched June 17,the program averaged: a 2.4 household rating; 3.2 million viewers; 2 million adults 25 to 54; 1.8 million adults 18 to 49; 1.3 million men 25 to 54; and 1.1 million men 18 to 49.
