E! Launches Online Entertainment News Offerings
12 Vides Daily On E! New Now

E! Entertainment Television is launching of E! News Now, a multimedia series that provides fans with video segments created by E! News specifically for non-linear platforms, officials said Monday.
Featuring new E! News reporters Valery Ortiz and Ashlan Gorse, E! News Now kicks off with at least 12 videos a day available on broadband and select distribution partners and mobile phones.
The video-news updates, each one to two minutes in length, will be produced around the clock, as news breaks. The segments will be hosted by Valery Ortiz and Ashlan Gorse and will focus on a single story.
In addition to reports on Hollywood’s hottest scoop, the updates will feature fresh celebrity footage and red carpet action, including premiere parties, shopping excursions, courtroom drama and after-dark antics.
Valery Ortiz stars on the original teen drama South of Nowhere on The N and recently joined the cast of ABC’s What About Brian? On the big screen, Valery appeared earlier this year in Twentieth Century Fox’s Date Movie.
Ashlan Gorse is editor-at-large for Life & Style Weekly. She previously served as host/coach on MTV’s makeover series Made, as well as on-air reporter for MSNBC’s The Hot List & At the Movies.
